75-Ball Bingo

75-ball bingo (or what is often called American Bingo), is the traditional game of bingo played in the US. One individual card will contain 25 numbers (most often the middle number is a 'free' space), with 3 cards containing every number between 1-75. There is only one chance of winning on 75-ball bingo; either by marking off the whole card (known as Blackout), or by marking off a special pattern (as identified at the beginning of the game). 80-Ball Bingo

80-Ball Bingo is the traditional party bingo that is often played in sea-side bingo arcades, or known as Cashline in offline Bingo halls. One ticket will contain 16 numbers, in 4 rows and 4 columns. There are often 2 chances of winning; by marking off one line (diagonally, vertically or horizontally) and then marking off the whole ticket. 90-Ball Bingo

90-ball bingo is the traditional online bingo game played in the UK. You can buy tickets in strips of 6, which will have every number from 1-90 on it. Each individual ticket will have 3 rows and 9 columns. The main difference between 90-ball bingo and any other variant of bingo is that you often have 3 different chances of winning; by marking off 1 line, 2 lines, and the complete ticket (the Full House). Auto Dab

When playing bingo online, you have the option to allow your tickets to be automatically marked off. This is often the default state for most bingo sites. However, if you would like to mark the tickets off yourself, you can turn off Auto-Dab and it will allow you to continue playing manually.

Balance

This is the term used to refer to the amount of money you have remaining on that bingo site.

Best Card Sorting

This Best Card Sorting functionality means that your all your cards and bingo tickets and automatically arranged, so those closest to winning are placed nearest the top.

Blackout

This term refers to marking off all the numbers on one particular bingo card.

Card (or Ticket)

A card (which is often referred to as a bingo ticket) is what you purchase to play bingo on. Depending on the type of bingo, one bingo card will either contain 25 numbers (75-ball bingo), 15 numbers (90-ball bingo) or 16 numbers (80-ball bingo). 6 cards (or tickets) is often referred to as a Strip.

Claim

A claim is done automatically for you on online bingo. This means you have a valid full house, and are stopping the game for your card to be checked.

Cash Climber

Another name for a Progressive Jackpot. This is a special jackpot that can be won on specified conditions (winning a Full House in under 30 calls or less). The amount of money in a cash climber will continuously rise everytime someone purchases a ticket.

Chat Rooms

Chat is an important part of online bingo, as you can communicate with other players, friends or Chat Hosts whilst playing bingo. Each bingo game will often have it's own unique Chat Room, which will have it's own Chat Games and Chat Moderators.

Chat Games

These are often played as an additional form of entertainment in a Chat Room, and are completely free. They will be played by Chat Hosts whilst bingo is being played. A Chat Game can be a mini-quiz, a game based on the number of balls or whatever is in the Chat Hosts imagination. The winners of Chat Games can win small cash prizes or Bingo Points (which can be exchanged for cash or draws for prizes).

These are people who work for the bingo site, specifically to answer any questions, play Chat Games and entertain you whilst your playing bingo.

This is the total amount of money that you have used to buy Bingo Cards

This is money that you withdraw from your on-line account, which then goes back to a credit or debit card.
