![]() | Last week freebingohunter reported on a party that Buckingham Bingo were going to be throwing for their oldest bingo player Anne Webster. We can now report that the party on Tuesday was an absolute success with a tops bingo party time had by all who attended. Anne, who celebrated her 102 birthday on Tuesday 28th April was treated to a VIP bingo party courtesy of the staff and customers of the Bucky Bingo club in Bridge Street Shipley. Bucky bingo players toasted Anne's milestone by cracking open a bottle of bubbly, but unfortunately the birthday girl had to pass on the bubbly as in all her 102 years of life she has never touched a drop of alcohol. Disaster was narrowly averted when Anne almost marked off the bingo numbers on the cake in a shape of a bingo ticket, which had also been provided by Buckingham Bingo. Thankfully Anne stuck to marking the numbers off on the free bingo tickets which were part of the bingo gifts that the club gave her. There is no word on whether Anne had a big win at the party, but for someone whose been shouting "bingo" since Churchill was prime minister, it was probably nice for her to have a break for once! |
