Do you find yourself confused in bingo chat rooms by all the bingo lingo?  Do you look at chat in a bingo room and think what are those nutters wittering on about?  Well you could benefit fromTombola bingo’s latest innovation which is a “Binglish” translator. Binglish is the new name for that peculiar language which is typed in Bingo chat rooms across the UK.  It is a combination of “Bingo” and “English”.  Tombola bingo have developed this handy tool for bingo players to use whenever they find themselves bamboozled by bingo chit chat.  For example, you are playing bingo and someone says “ROFL WDW I was 1TG”, who the heck has a Scooby doo what that means.  Text speak is for the yoof innit? You get me bruv?  Anyway, to get the answer and translate this bingo jibberish, all an online bingo player need do is enter the offending words into the Tombola Bingo translator which will give the answer in plain English. The phrase above translates to “Rolling on the floor laughing, well done winner, I was 1 to go”.  Don’t ask what the players are rolling on the floor laughing about, who knows. 

Also, no need to worry about Binglish too much as we have yet to come across anyone in the UK who speaks it as well as typing it in chat rooms.  However, if Binglish takes off then we could be looking at it becoming the UK’s second language and they’d need to put it on road signs. On the motorway instead of signs saying “Next Exit” they need to say “Exit 1TG”.  Feel free to play with the translator as much as you want! I have already put in as many rude words as I could think of to see if they worked but unfortunately they don’t, so no need to waste your time.  This is just the sort of helpful little tool we have come to expect from the folks at Tombola.  Perhaps next we could have something that tells us if we are going to win today?
