Great News for free bingo hunters everywhere:  Gala Bingo have announced that they are extending they special daily free bingo games for another 2 weeks.  Originally Gala Bingo announced the free bingo as a thankyou to their bingo customers for a special 2 weeks.  Apparently Gala have been bowled over by the response of their customers to the free bingo-with lots of old and new bingo players taking advantage. For another 2 weeks are continuing with their pledge to play 50 free games and create over 200 winners each day.  The amount of winners in line with the 13 hours of bingo that are on offer, Gala will play free bingo everyday between 10am to 11pm.  With all this free bingo around bingo players should expect Gala to be busy and it will probably be even busier given the news that has come out today about bingo:

The Telegraph is reporting that a new study by the Rush University Medical centre in Chicago has shown that bingo can help stave off disability.  It looks like the activity of playing bingo, both social and marking off of the numbers, can help maintain motor skills in old age.  Of course those of us who play bingo have always know that it was good for us.  Although I must say that waiting for one number on a full house can't be good for the heart. The other day I was out in a sweat and my heart was pounding as I was one number away for a £1,000.  Needeless to say I didn't win and was left a little light headed once my heart had stopped racing.  

With the news that bingo is good for you then we should expect to see an influx of more people to the world of online bingo.  But it looks like this could already be happening as the London Evening Standard is reporting that bingo is becoming more an more popular amongst young people. There has been a big growth amongst the under 40s and they now account for a bigger proportion of players than ever before. The newspaper even suggests "young professionals" are beginning to play bingo and online bingo more and more. It looks like our online bingo clubs will soon be jammed pack with lawyers and accountants taking some time out from their stressful lives. Oh well!  Is suppose it was only a matter of time before the rif-raff got involved in bingo!
